This sucks for me as my daughter has Celiac disease. Last day is Monday, 4/18

Sounds like plumbing/sewage dispute in shopping center in South Downs, including the Bulldog. They say they piping infrastructure is a mess and it's not worth fighting and endangering customers.

I'm sad to hear they're closing their doors... I hope they end up relocating at some point. There aren't many places around Baton Rouge like it.

Agreed this is not great news. Not exactly close to that area, but Room for Dessert over on Jefferson is a good option. I've used them because I have to eat dairy free, but I've also enjoyed their gluten free items as well.

I'll be going here later to get my fixin's before the close. Can't imagine they will be in a new place any sooner than a few months from now.

I would think this would also be a good opportunity for the owners to re-evaluate if they want to continue it. They seem successful, but with the stress that comes with running a restaurant, this would be an easy opportunity to step away.

Would Our Daily Bread be an optional alternative?

I wonder if Donnie Jarreau wants them out of there? Seems like the type of business they would want in a space like that, unless they have ideas for something more high end. I'm surprised the Mary Lee and Dutch Cleaners are still there.

Truly Free should set up shop in the new space next to the mattress store/smoothie king at Acadian and Perkins. That building on the right looks like a restaurant in the making.
