I went to Mason's for the first time Friday for dinner. I got the Shrimp burger and it was amazing. Probably the best burger I've ever had.

Just talked to my co-worker who was there Friday, and he said their server was named Ben.

He said they sat and ate then had a 'few' drinks for a bit longer.

Everything seemed to be fine.

He also said it was a "great burger"

I like how everyone assumes this guy is real. Have you not been to the OT before?

assuming Ben is real, if it was an original apology then thats pretty stand-up; if he was told to get on here and apologize by an owner or manager then the apology is worthless. I just find it kind of odd that Ben didnt give a shite when the customer and his family were in the place and now that all of BR knows about his mistake, he gets on here and tries to save his arse.

Sure you can. I'm going there for two things:

1. To be waited on so I don't have to cook in my home.
2. To eat good food.

I want both to be good. Otherwise there's no point in me eating there.

Tough group. If the food is good, I'll give the service a break and vice versa. You mess both up on both during one trip, immediate blacklist.I go out to dine for entertainment, I don't expect (but am pleasantly surprised) the food to be better than what comes out of my kitchen. A good meal in my home kitchen with a trip to whole foods will run me what I spend or more in a casual-dining place.

You can normally eat much cheaper at home. Plus there's a good chance you'll have leftovers for even more meals....What are you getting from the highly overrated and way too expensive Whole Foods that makes the cost of eating out about the same for you?

i hate over cooked burgers....just like i hate over cooked steaks.....

a Medium Rare burger is guaranteed not to have been "pressed" on the grill......i cannot stand it when places press all the juices out of my burger......hate it. drys them out.....over cooks them. See Riverside Patty.

a Medium Rare burger

you can safely eat a medium rare burger, but it's a process of boiling the meat, than grinding & immediately cooking...too much BS to go thru for a burger. i'd rather just have mine cooked long enough.

I wanted to introduce myself, I am a waitress at Mason's (not the person you mentioned, though). I would like to invite you to come back in and try that Cajun Burger--it is absolutely fabulous. Also, please feel free to ask for me (my name is Kristin), I'd be happy to serve you and your family.

The manager would also like to get in contact with you about what happened. Please feel free to email her (Shirlee Alfandre) at info@masonsgrill.com. Neither of us are very familiar with this website and we were unable to find your email address/contact information.

We are very sorry about what happened the last time you came in, please do not think that this a normal occurrence. Normally, we are known for not only our great food, but also our exceptional service.

I recommend coming in on Sunday for brunch. We are open from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. and serve both breakfast and lunch all day. Our full menu is on our website: www.masonsgrill.com. Be sure to mention who you are or ask for the manager when you return. Once again, I apologize that this experience occurred.

Three cheers for Mason's

You have admitted the mistake, not made excuses, begged forgiveness and offered to make things right....Outstanding customer service

At home, I cook my burgers rare to medium rare. If you grind your own meat, you won't have any bacteria issues. My pet peave is places that cannot go medium rare. I understand why they can't. I also love tartare with a raw egg and onions. Raw meat rules.
