Trader Joe's Grocery coming to BR

Trader Joe's
from their website, they look like the Abercrombie of grocery stores. Anyone know much about them?

Small stores (~15k sf) with less selection than Whoel Foods, but the stuff that they doe carry is much cheaper than Whole Foods. It is not the type of place to do all you shopping. They are also known for their beer selection and cheap quality wine.

I remember there being some, but it has been a couple of years since I was in the last one. From what I remeber the stuff that they did they did well.

trader joe's is kinda neat b/c they private label some unique stuff you can't get anywhere else, but it's kind of a hype.

I was going to complain in the OP that the location was not getting a Rouses. Wold be a nice change from Calandros and Alberstons in my area.

They make a sweet cornbread that is not quite as sweet as Jiffy with whole corn pieces that I really line.

Ive never found the beer selection to be anything special at the trader joes ive been to. Actually, most were below average.

Seems like Fresh Market already does that. It's in a much needed location IMO though. I think they will probably do well.

people are fanatic about certain products they carry, you can google "what to buy at trader joes" and there are websites dedicated to it.

Trader Joe's is my go to grocery store in DC. The food is fresh, delicious and cheap.
Not a good place for bulk shopping but their are a few specific items.

Anyone have any clue what else will go into this development? Think I read in the article that another restaurant was going there as well. Wonder what it is.

The one by union square in NYC has a 10-in 10-out line after work to give you an idea of the volume this place attracts.. but then again, thats in nyc.
