Issac Toups will be featured on the new Top Chef coming soon. Anyone eat at his restaurant? I've heard nothing but good things and he's also from Acadia Parish

I've eaten there a few times for lunch, I've been impressed.

I went for lunch once. I may get crucified for this, but I didn't find it that great. It was also extremely overpriced at least for lunch.

Eaten there twice. Loved it both times. That meatery board is one of the best.

Toups' is really solid. Their Meatery board is one of the best in town.
I've been several times and have had mixed experiences. Mostly positive, but I've had a bad dinner one night. If you catch a night that's a little slow where Chef isn't in the house, you may be in trouble. That's my opinion.
Also, he's been trying several new dishes (I assume in prep for the show) that he's posted on facebook. I would like to get over there soon to try some of his new dishes.

One of the great restaurants in NOLA. Confit chicken thighs, BBQ goat, and the meatery board are my favorite things on the menu. Also, his fried chicken sandwich is killer.

Used to love it. But had a couple of bad experiences. The first was New Years last year where during making resos they failed to mention the $99 per person menu- which was very minimal- I probably should have asked but it annoyed me nonetheless.
The next time I went I waited damn near an hour after ordering for my steak to come out, I ordered mid rare and it came out burnt to a crisp. Service was also awful.
Maybe I will try again. I used to eat there once a month.

The porkchop and burger are legit.
Haven't been there in quite awhile though.

I eat there probably four or five times a month. Its not the best food in the city but it's better than average. Great burger and I always enjoy his seafood options.
A mentioned before It's a little overpriced for what your get.
