Obvious spinoff is obvious. I am looking for suggestions as I need a go to. When you list them please state whether it is a thick patty or thin, and also whether it is a seasoned/spicy patty or not. Thanks.

Love me a good social burger

Also fat pats, Judice of course, and surprisingly Acadiana poboys on Verot has a very good burger.

Any of y’all tried the Bahama momma food truck yet? They park right by my house and make a pretty good burger.

I have heard about this place, but I am never really in the area.

You shouldn't be in that area.

(I'm joking. It is in a crappy area but it's not far from decent areas of Downtown).

No particular order.

Gary’s
Ground Patti (on Johnston)
Judice Inn
Tons (Broussard but still in the Parish)
The Lunch Box

That’s my take.

Also fat pats

No offense, but this and Morvant's are two that I hated. I prefer a thinner patty with salt and pepper only. Theirs was way too spicy tasting for me.

It’s on Moss St. It’s a plate lunch spot.

My top 2 are Hideaway on Lee and Judice Inn. I don't really have a 3-5. I've had burgers at other places but nothing else has really stood out to me.

I wasn't a fan of Social's burger, and I've had Spoonbill's and thought it was good but I've only had it once and don't remember a ton about it.

Market Eatz - brunch burger is unreal
Hideaway on Lee
Legends (depending on which one you go to)

One of the pool halls used to have a great burger. It's been a long time since I've had one, so I don't remember.
Maxx's maybe

Fat Pats 5 years ago was good. I don't care for it anymore. It's dry and tasteless.

You've come a long way baby. Back in the day, the Legends burgers were made on a George Foreman grill.

the Poppa Q burger sold on the Strip during the 90's was a life-saver at 2am.

Moved back to Lafayette about a year ago. Wife (no pics) is not from the area so I've been on a mission to take her to all old places I remember liking and trying the new ones.

So far we like Judice Inn, Max's and Pete's was ok at best.

Cafe Josephine in Sunset has a really good burger. I like Angelle's in Breaux Bridge.

Ground Pati was a huge letdown from what it used to be in the 80s. Will not return. Fat Pat's in Carencro now cooks all of the burgers well done. I asked for mine to be cooked medium and the waitress replied "they make us cook them all well done."

Yes! Its a burnt puck now. Market Eatz is the only place that I have found that will attempt to cook it medium.
