I just learned about this today. I guess it's like eggnog but served warm and kind of like a milk punch. It's been around since the 1800's.

Have had it quite a few times. When Chris Hannah was at Monkey Bar at Arnauds would always make a point to stop in over the holidays and get one. It’s a good drink but it needs to be pretty cold out to enjoy one.

I’m sure he could make one at jewel of the south.

There's a bar (stand-up only, no barstools) about a hour from me that's been serving it since the early 1900's. With the COVID-19 restrictions they doing to-go orders this year. Was thinking about trying it, because what else am I doing?

I’ve seen the vintage/antique Tom and Jerry punch bowl sets. Never had the drink.

I sort of agree, but have a modification:

Boiled custard if non-alcoholic
Eggnog if adding liquor
