I knew where he was talking about, just trying to get people to reference a city when talking about a place.

Anyway the old location had a great burger, only been to the new digs once and was very disappointed in the "burnt tips"

I don't think Mike is involved any longer.

I think the Willie's Signature Po-Boy is better than a Darrell's Special. They use real meat as opposed to cold cuts you could get at a Wal-Mart deli.

Been a few times, not impressed, boiled crawfish were undersized, dirty not hot. But, they are new and deserve a chance to get their act together. I'll give it another chance soon, if I can talk my wife into it, she really didn't care for it.

They aren't new though. Just changed locations. I had the crawfish recently and they were pretty good

Yeah, boiled crawfish are not their strong suit. They have always been dirty and gritty, even at their old location. I wouldn't go there for the crawfish. The 'Signature' poboy is the best item on the menu.

SAINTSATION POBOY
Grilled shrimp, sauteed onions and bell peppers, pepper jack cheese topped with fried crawfish tails, lettuce, tomato, and jalapeno mayo | 12

My go-to. I add jalapenos to it

I used to go to the old location a good bit. They have several tasty things on their menu. I think Willie and his wife were part of, or maybe just worked at the original Crawfish Place on Cloverland. Whoever Mike was of "Mike Willie's" is no longer involved...And that's good, because the name Mike Willies bothered me.

Just looked at some of the Google reviews and somebody claiming to be an owner put a customer on blast for posting a bad review. CLASSY.

Wife and I have been a couple times and we've enjoyed it. Outside of the six month old IPA they served me I have no complaints.

The guy who owned this is completely out of the restaurant business now & he is neither Mike nor Willie.

After some of the crazy shite I've seen owners throw at customers who leave bad reviews online I thought this was fairly tame.

quote:

Reviewer:
Good service, short wait time, nice staff, but very loud. House salads are small but okay, loaded potatoes are basically a potatoe with a little cheese, a small amount of green onion and 3 or 4 crumbs of bacon. . Not loaded by any means. Chicken Sandwich had a "Sonic" quality. (Yes, I mean it. . ) The catfish is over seasoned, don't waste your time with the "cream & crawfish" on top. The crawfish (boiled) looks great but entirely under seasoned. . The Cajun Queso is okay but could stand a little more "queso" . . All in, okay experience, but not one I'd redo. .

Response from the owner:
Dear Travis, My sister, wife, and I have been in business for seven years now. With the success of the dishes mentioned above, we were able to build a new restaurant. In the new restaurant, we have to continued to grow. Tonight while you dined at our establishment filled with loyal costumes, my wife, sister, and I continued to work hard to put our best foot forward. It is a shame that you weren't satisfied. I wish it could have been different. The review is tough to swallow. If you would, could you list your top 5 restaurants in Baton Rouge, so that I can go eat there and compare. Otherwise, I can't gain anything positive out of what you wrote behind your computer. Sincerely, Willie

He didn't really put her on a blast...I actually appreciate his passive aggressive/sarcastic approach

Food reviewers are the worst

What I liked: atmosphere and cute, attentive servers. Wish I could have drank booze in the outside area.

Shrimp and Crawfish Bisque...I should have gotten a bowl, not a cup. It's really, really good

What I didn't like: no real complaints. The Saintsation poboy is just pretty good, nothing spectacular.

I'd go back
