Will be me, wife (no pics), and two kids. One night after UF game. Just couple of meals and street car to garden district, french quarter, food, etc...

Hotel

Area ok for walking to most places?

Any other hotels like it? Just one night or would try Air BnB.

Thanks!

I've never stayed there but it's a fine looking place and the location is perfect. It's as safe as the Quarter will get.. Just be careful after dark by staying on the main thoroughfares or places where most people are walking. Decatur is fine, Jackson Square is fine. Great shopping and site seeting on Royal and Decatur Streets.

You're going to have a great time.

They serve lemonade and cookies in the afternoon.

Yeah, you can walk the quarter and it's an easy trip to the Warehouse District from there.

stay on the streets with plenty lighting/people

you can always turn around if you are uncomfortable on a street you have turned down

Beinville house was my go to hotel pre-Katrina. Room are a little but small but very nice. Service was outstanding back then. Cool little patio pool. Onsite parking is limited. Great Location.

After Katrina FEMA took over the place forever. Haven't been there since.

Johnny's Po-boy, Napoleon House and K-Pauls with-in a few blocks away. Avoid Star steak and lobster restaurant across the street next to the House of Blues.
