My thoughts, it's the most horrible tasting beer I've ever had. What is the nitrogen supposed to do? Is that what makes it taste so bad? Can anybody drink this repulsive shite?

Well I'm sure it was brewed in mid October therefore it's beyond it's shelf life.

Haven't tried it, but I did recently have a nitro IPA from Wisconsin that was pretty good. The nitrous smoothed the flavors out and, if I'm not mistaken, there is a molecular driver behind it as well.

I had a nitro IPA a while back that was awful.

Isn't "regular" Guinness nitrogen infused?

The can is a huge turnoff right off the bat.

Doubt it. Nitrogen is simply a substitute for carbon dioxide in the beer. Nitrogen actually improves some beer styles. Left hand's milk stout is really good, but their nitro milk stout is better. It does sort of smooth out the carbonation bite and give the beer a fuller mouthfeel.

Haven't tried this one yet. I'll pick up 1 by itself, if i see it.

I've had pales on nitro but not an IPA. The creamy texture doesn't really work with those flavors on my palate.

I love a good nitro stout though. One of the local breweries here (Urban Chesnut) just came out with one that I like a lot.

ETA: Old Chub nitro is fantastic as well.

IMHO, Nitro makes beer feel "flat" and easier to drink. I love Nitro stouts. However, I think it would give an IPA the taste and feel of a flat stale coke

Done bought. Maybe it is flat tasting. All I can taste is awfulness. I can fight my way thru most food and drink. Not this

At 5.8°, I'd probably be able to suffer through a few. How bad can it be?

This does have me craving a real Guisness though baw.

I tried a lowball-sized free sample from a promotional tap two or three weeks ago in Gulfport. For some reason, it reminded me of water from a mop bucket--in looks and smell. I seriously doubt that I could have handled an entire glass of it, it just wasn't good imo.

It has the creamy mouthfeel of a Guinness. Creamy mouthfeel doesn't work with an IPA. There was no hops aroma in the nose, and no bitterness on the tongue. It was drinkable, but there's no reason to buy this. Drink a Guinness instead.
