Anyone been? It says all you can order for 21.95. Gotta be a catch.

Nice to see the BR culinary scene advancing.

Yes that's it. Just wondering if anyone has been. We're going there for the first time tonight.

I'll be interested in what you have to say about the place.
I can't see how opening up next to Ichibans made sense. So, for $22 you sit there and order as much/many sushi and rolls as you want?

There is a catch. Let me preface this by saying the food was pretty good. Ok, first thing is that they only let you order one thing at a time. In other words I was not allowed to give them my entire order at once. Next thing is that to order more food, you had to eat what you had on your plate first. The waiter told me I was going to be charged for leaving 3 pieces of an 8 roll sushi since I didn't finish the portion.
So, on top of the all you can eat price, they will charge you for uneaten portions. So I stuffed those 3 pieces in my mouth, paid my bill, and left and unhappy customer. I understand they don’t want people ordering 10 items off the menu and then leaving half of the food sitting on their plates, but if I wanted to be forced to eat food, I would build a time machine and head back to my childhood.

Yeah apparently. And they have a disclaimer on their website that says you'll be charged for any uneaten rolls/rice or unfinished drinks. (soft drinks included)

I would probably never go by myself under these circumstances.
If you go with a group and everyone order a different roll each time, it could be damn well worth it.

Well, you saved me a trip there.
To hell with that! I had a flashback of my grandmother reading their policy. They can keep their rice.

Yes, the menu clearly states you will be charged for any leftover sushi (don't remember anything about left over soft drinks), but we ordered whatever we wanted, as much as we wanted, whenever we wanted it. Had a great experience, Sushi Masa is probably the best deal in town.

Some solid info. Thanks guys.
And yeah, we're going with a group so hopefully it will be a great dining experience.

Been a couole of times once for lunch and dinner. Lunch was slow to get sushi out, no problem when we ate for dinner. We would order a couole of rolls and sushi, eat and repeat till we got full. It is not sushi yama, but much better than Nagoyia IMHO

I understand the reasoning, but the policy's wording seems a little harsh. Places like Plucker's do all you can eat wings all the time and while they only bring you more when you need more, they don't act like fricking Nazis. If you don't like something, you don't like something. With an items like sushi, it's easy to stumble upon something you dislike.
I'm sure the place is a good deal for some, but I probably don'te even eat $22 worth of sushi. I eat maybe 2 rolls. Kinda like Texas de Brazil is not worth it for someone with my apetite.

This is a better way of putting it than I did. So I'm forced to stick with rolls I know I like because otherwise I'm going to get charged. The guy wasn't very friendly about it either so I made sure he could see me stuffing the rolls in my mouth.
Again though the food was hot and tasted great but the experience was not pleasant.

When I ate lunch there this week they were training new servers. The server might be dead on applying policy and might have missed it by a mile. If someone else eats there we need clarification if they charge for a piece or two being left on the plate...

The waiter told me that the owners actually work there and that there is no discretion allowed on charging for uneaten portions. It's a shame because the fried rice was good, but I'm not going back.
In a group setting it's probably a good deal but the portions are not full portions except for the rolls. The calamari was like 4 pieces (onion ring sized).
