As mentioned here before, the seasonal demands for holiday hams bring less expensive pieces and parts. Bacon is usually cheaper at the same time of the year.

Even in the 1980s as high schooler I clowned my friends that ate them, dubbed those things "McPhlegm Sandwich" "McPorkticle Board"

I tried one once in the 1990s at some point. I thought it was horrible.

A few years ago when it was "back" I said frick it, I haven't had one in 20+ years and got one. It was horrible, made me feel sick the rest of the day. Not necessarily because it is fast food in general, but even by fast food standards it is awful.
But I have a very close friend who fricking loves it. Whenever it's "back" he eats it every day until it's gone again.

That's what they say but its really so they can raise the price by 50 cents every year.

I’ve never heard of anyone getting ‘sick’ from anything from McDonalds in my life.
Its the safest, most neutral food on the planet.
I could see someone getting ‘sick’ from the garbage they serve at Popeyes or Taco Bell, but definitely not McDonalds.

I worked for McDonald's corporate for about 15 years and have never had a McRib either. But I did have a few owners tell me they would take the McRib patties home and cook them on an outdoor grill and they were great. Always wanted to try that but never got the chance.

I always get me one when they come out.
People like to look down at these things and say how disgusting they are, but I bet if you disguised the same exact thing at a Mom and Pop sandwich shop, or even at Bucee's, a whole bunch of folks would be gobbling them up and talking about them.

I remember loving them in high school. A few years back I ordered one and was totally disgusted with it. Not sure if it changed or I did
