I'm not really talking about the method or ingredients.

This is more about your best, or most favorite, boil.

Mine was last weekend at a friend's cousin's party in the Bosier/Shreveport area. First time seeing crawfish boiled this way, and they were breathtaking.

Let me just say that it is a bad idea to let a pentecostal girl give you a handy when at a crawfish boil...

4 years ago. Blue angels air show on our pier. Unexpected coonasses show up offering if they could keep their boat at our pier and watch show they would cook us crawfish. Best crawfish ever! First time I ever had them with brussel sprouts and all the fixings. Nothing but Budweiser to drink. Such a fun day.

9-10 months later our youngest was born.

Cooked some for a pro golfer from Australia and he ate them with a cocktail fork. Funny shite. He loved the fettuccine though.

The guy boiled them in plain water for 4-6 minutes.

They removed them and put them in that thing, then hit it with a lid. The dude dusted them like a couple of times before they were ready.

These are legit.

Not necessarily of a boil, but favorite memory was when I went run our crawfish traps in the swamp behind Chackbay one day.

My 88 year old grandmother(RIP) randomly asked if she could come with me. So she sat in the pirogue while I happily walked through the water and pulled her.
We get to one trap and I see there's a rather large snake in it. I say screw it, not messing with that, and keep walking. All of a sudden I hear my grandma say "Gotcha you little shite!"

...I turn around and she's holding the snake in one hand and then she proceeds to take a machete to it so we could re-use the snake as bait.

tldr: My 88 year old grandma came crawfishing with me and ending up grabbing a snake out of a trap. Then promptly took a machete to it.

You grossly underestimated old people. That's the norm. That's no doubt about it how my grandparents were. They didn't play.

I can't remember one in particular but every boil with seasoned water and no sprinkles in ice chests has been dynamite. Others have been mediocre at best. Rare occasions

Best crawfish boil is always with family and friends. I cannot wait until Good Friday for the annual pilgrimage to Lake Charles.
