Ok guys tread title might seem dumb but I'm headed to the smoked meat festival next weekend.I'm gonna make a few stops on my way back home. I would like to get suggestions from people in the area.

Which one of these meat markets is the GOAT and what do you get? Normally I'll eat cajun rice/ crawfish stuffed yardbirds, boudin, duck, and beef roasts.

I've been to Poche's before and I liked it.

Thanks

T-Boy's is the second GOAT for just about everything in my opinion, right behind T-Jim's, but it doesn't sound like you'll be in that area.

I like other places over Poche's for boudin. Poche's make a great plate lunch. Especially on Tuesdays when it is rabbit day.

I've been in the area all my life. here's what you need to know:

for the best boudin: T-boys
for the best smoked sausage: Teet's

If you're in Ville Platte on Saturday morning, stop by Paul's Meat Market in Ville Platte on the Chataignier Road and get some cracklins. They're the best I've tried, anywhere.. Between 8 and 9 am, they put the first batch out.

You're welcome.

T-Boy’s is my favorite boudin. Never had Teet's but when you're from that area you don't have to travel far to find good smoked meat.

I know it's not one of the choices but if you like your boudin "wet" Redlich’s City Cash in Basile has a good one.
The double smoked sausage is good there as well.

Redlich’s City Cash in Basile, LA = A+ Rated Boudin

Poche's for tasso. Their boudin is not my one of my favorites. I have no experience with Teets.

Was at Teet's Wednesday. Great boudin, sausage, ponce, slab smoked bacon.

Lejeune's is the best for ponce, no doubt, but they're not open on Saturday.

Teet's is the best for smoked sausage and meats, and their smoked ponce is very good.

T-Boy's in Mamou is the best boudin in the state.

Teets ha good smoked meats. Don't like Poches boudin but agree with the plate lunches.
Check out Charlie's in Mamou for smoked sausage. Mowata store has good boudin and is low on the Play-do score (liver)

And T-Boy can leave the boudin balls to Billy's. T-Boy's boudin balls suck. Dry and tough. I took one bite and threw it out.
