Looking for a steady supply of pecan, hickory, and oak wood for my stick burner. Would prefer to buy them ready to go into the fire box.

Any suggestions?

I found some great deals on Craiglist.
Got about a 1/2 cord of hickory for $25, and about the same quantity of oak and maple for free. Just had to go cut and load it myself.

BR firewood guys. I am sure they will cut it the way you want. Be careful with Craigslist. The last two times I bought from there , something was stolen from my garage the next morning. Lots of LP meth trash delivering firewood on there.

I came to check on the responses and realized I must have fat fingered the down vote... I wanted to upvote you because I’ve always had a challenge with sources for wood for the pit.

The logs at Academy are about 12 inches long and they are already split. And kiln dried. They are around 12 inches in circumference (4-5 inches in diameter) depending on what size log they were split from.

I’m sure they are not the cheapest, but they are convenient. They come in a sack that is 1/2 cubic yard, I do believe.

Firewood yard about half a mile east of Jerry Lee's on Greenwell. They supply post oak for the wood fired pizza ovens around town. $20 buys about a year's worth for me. Think they have pecan as well.
