How do you know this without actually eating it?

How would I know it's good without eating it?

I've had mushy steak before, and that looks mushy.

Might be less effort than going outside and doing it on the pit.

I think it looks good. I can't really distinguish mushy right now via 1 pic

What about it looks mushy exactly?

I'll agree the color looks good, but the piece of meat being heated and cooled so many times makes me want to trust my eyes and believe that it is mushy

It doesn't appear to have much of a sear and does give off a bit of a mushy look. The doneness looks spot on. Nobody but OP knows how it tasted, but just judging by the picture it looks OK. It doesn't look super impressive.

Consistency appears to be more like roast beef than steak. Not really what I like in a steak.

This looks good to me

Kinda strange to compare OP's pic to a different cut of meat, no?

Other than color filtering, these steaks look the same IMO.

I can bring a steak up to room temp, or during the summer even outside temp, throw it on my sear burner, and get the same or better results

Put up or shut up. Post pics.

Is that one you'd eat? Because it looks pretty much the exact same as OP's (again, factoring in the color filtering)

Feels like we are being very nit-picky in here

The consistency of that meat appears nothing like the one in the OP. If you can't see that, I really don't know what to tell you

Your stalking is getting to be troubling. Wish you followed me around like that when it was time to pay a bet

It appears exactly the same, just with a brighter shade of red.
