My wife recently had some oral surgery and will be on soft foods for a good while off and on. Need some suggestions besides broths, soups, ice cream and mashed potatoes. Thanks

Grits topped with a soft boiled egg. Gooey yolk all over the grits. Or cheesy grits with Laughing Cow wedges (soft cheese).

I was on soft foods for a month over the summer. Slow cooked beans were my salvation. Buy some better than bouillion ham base and don't be stingy with it. I hope your wife has a smooth recovery.

My other go to was blended tomato basil soup or veggie bisque. Protein shakes twice a day too.

Chicken salad from Calvins or Zoes should be easy for her to eat.

Plain Greek yogurt can be flavored in so many ways, sweet or savory. High protein, too.

Stouffer's creamed spinach is nice and soft and tasty, and so is their corn souffle.

For single serving red beans and rice, Popeye's is good and soft enough for someone on a soft diet.

Baked ricotta is simple and very tasty. Take an 8 oz container of ricotta, and stir in 1/2 cup grated parmesan and 1 large beaten egg, some Italian seasoning if you wish, and a little salt and pepper. Put that in a small baking dish and top with marinara sauce and some mozzarella cheese. Bake until bubbly.
