I love them with just salt, with the yolk still warm.

Much preferred to hard boiled eggs. Neck and neck with deviled eggs.

Add some black pepper to mine please.

When I hard boil eggs, my goal is to get the yolk to bright yellow and still a bit gooey. Hit and miss.

Love a good softboiled egg. I like it with the white set and the yolk still runny, so I use an egg timer otherwise it's hit or miss. Like this one: norpro egg timer
Put it into an egg cup, eat with a sterling silver demitasse spoon & toast soldiers.

That's the only problem. If you don't use a timer and accurate heat source, it's easy to miss the runny yoke and just get a hard boiled egg. Such a disappointment.

My method is to cover the eggs with water, bring to a boil, shut off the burner and cover for four to five minutes. Pretty consistent gooey yolk for me. Drop it down to three minutes if you want it runny.

They're one of my favorite foods my mawmaw used to make for me. Put them in an egg cup and chip the top off, then dip strips of toast in them!

Do you keep your eggs at room temp or refrigerate. I like to take them out for a few hours before cooking.

Otherwise I like them with S n P and sop 'em up with an english muffin.

Or get one of these. Fill water to the "soft boiled" line and have perfect eggs everytime.

Sorry my egg cooker is so dirty, it's been in use for over 20 years.

I came here to say this. I bring to a boil, shut off, cover, and use a timer to get it to the exact place I want them every time.

I steam them in a pot for 6 minutes, then in a 1 minute icebath. Easy peel, set whites and perfect yolk. No salt or pepper needed. Two bites.

Looks like those yolks have hardened. I want mine runny.
