It appears that doing nothing at all is the best way to have your year old habanero plant produce in abundance......Lying on its' side and rarely watered and not fertilized in same place since May of last year .....Here's the harvest from yesterday(been two weeks) and there's probably 20 green ones and blossoms all over wish tomato's were that easy......LOL

How do you use these? Deep fry them like a jalapeno popper?

Better have a tough stomach and tolerance for heat if you eat them like that

Make hot sauce with them.

Everytime I put them in a meal, it's not edible to most people.

I made hot sauce last year. Just not worth the trouble for me. Id rather pay $2 for a bottle of el yucateco habernero sauce.

Same is true with me. I, however, dice them up and put at least one whole one (uncooked and ripe) on almost every food I eat.

Want to spice up breakfast? Eggs with a raw habenero crumble.

Want to spice up lunch? Hamburger with a raw habenero relish.

Want to spice up dinner? Steak with a raw habenero....well just a raw habenero.

If you remove the ribs and seeds, they aren't too hot.

I don't remove anything. I bask in the glory of the orange pepper.

So do I, I was just giving an alternative for the "most people" who find a dish with habanero to be inedible.

I'm in the same boat brother. I had to ask the F&D what the hell to do with them the other day.

To whomever posted the pepper jelly recipe

I thought about growing some because Jalapenos are not hot enough for my taste. But I've noticed a bitter after taste in store bought Habs. My Mexican cleaning lady also finds them bitter. So I'm growing Thais this year.

I've got about 20 plants that are 15-17 inches tall right now and will eventually look like this..

They look like cayenne but are hotter. I'll use them in chili, Asian stir fry, and chopped up and sprinkled on Nachos. It's also a pretty plant in pots along my deck.

Habaneros have a much better taste than Jalapenos, in my opinion. Love them. I can't grow them for shite though.

People that nuke their taste buds with habanero peppers may not be the best judge of what tastes good.

To each his own, but that level of heat is just not pleasing to me

Oh look at you hot shot. "I don't eat habenero peppers so my food judgment is better than yours."

I planted Reapers, Ghosts, and Scorpion peppers this year. Not sure what I'll end up doing with them.

I don't really like raw chile peppers of any kind but habaneros are definitely the best tasting pepper in its raw form, they are fantastic cooked and in hot sauce. Probably my favorite chile overall

Got some scorpion cheddar cheese from whole foods the other day that is delicious

These are the best peppers IMO. It's a great balance of taste and spice
