Going to meet an account in Shreveport next week and I'm staying around downtown.

It will be 3 of us and looking to go to a nice dinner to get some drinks as well

Don't worry about cost but I know he likes steak, sushi and seafood

No large chains please

Personally, don't love Ernest.

2Jons in Bossier City. Can be there from downtown in less than 10 minutes. Great food and great bar!

Superior Steakhouse. Some may disagree but steaks are great. Haven't had a bad time there.

2Jons is definitely my favorite place in SBC and would take anyone there.

Ernest's is horrible. I won't go into detail again of my $3,000 experience

but just look at the reviews on Urban Spoon and Yelp...they're awful.

Must've gone downhill. It's been a few years, 15 or so, since I've been. Had a good steak there then.

This happened. There are still a few things that I would order from there and still go about once a year because my parents enjoy it. I don't think that it is horrible but there are several places I would go and drop that kind of cash i.e. 2Jons, Mabry House, Chianti, Superior.

Agreed. Sushi is mediocre here. If I had to pick I guess Sake Sushi on Youree. Had pretty fresh sushi at Hana about a week ago. Most places don't have flounder, uni, toro or less common fish but if they do are not usually very fresh.

Ok thanks, ill leave sushi alone. Steak sounds good. My account likes a good environment and he will be drinking straight wiskey all night. Lol

Thanks for the recs. keep em coming

Noble Savage is the best place to go out after dinner IMO. Nice dinner at 2Jons and drinks at Noble afterwards would be a solid night.

while I love the Savage, some people might not like the smokiness of it, like my wife

I'm a smoker, but I will go outside or in the poolroom side. I won't smoke on the restaurant side.

This. Some will argue that Texas St. Tavern is better, but I think 2John's is a nicer atmosphere and a better steak.

Jack Binion's is actually legit, and is in Horseshoe. The Vintage at ElDorado is also nice, but if you're going to a casino, I'd go to Binion's every time.

Superior Steakhouse is just "meh" The food is pretty good, and it has a really nice atmosphere, but any of the three I named above are better.

Noble Savage is a great place to go after dinner, if you don't mind the smoke. If your client's going to get whiskey, they have a pretty good selection.

Ernest's has definitely "jumped the shark" The only people that still like Ernest's are the ones that have lived in Shreveport forever and who's parents and grandparents have gone there for years. The inside is VERY dated, and the atmosphere will not impress a client.

Wine Country and Chianti are pretty good suggestions as well.

I have eaten lunch there and enjoyed it. Never done dinner. I have always heard good things but just never comes up in the nice nights out discussion with wife. What say you?

I see the usual suspects, my Shreveport brothas are doing some nice work in this thread.
