Heading to Seattle for work all next week.

Any recommendations on places to drink beer and restaurants to try?

I know about the Ballard brewery crawl and probably check out that area. Also have heard to walk around the market.

What are some breweries and beers I should look out for?

I've done some research but I haven't been let down yet by the recommendations of this board.

Pyramid Brewery right across the street from Safeco Field was good.

Reuben's Brews was my favorite brew house. Chucks Hop Stop is a must go to as well -- bottle shop / beer bar all in one. Hundreds of beers.

Look for Boneyard, Pfriem, Bale Breaker, Fort George, Stoup

You may find some Block 15 at Chuck's, as well. Chuck's has some sort of pipeline with Block 15, and is a cool place. Also look for Breakside beers and De Garde is starting to show up in Seattle (if you like sours - bottle only).

Go to Fremont and Holy Mountain if you're looking for some great brews

I stumbled across a little hole in the wall at the Market that had some pretty damn good Cajun food a few years back when we played football there...can't remember the name of the place, though.

I've been drinking a lot of beers, many of the ones recommended. Also popped into cloudburst brewery, pretty good as well.

Going to chucks hop stop wed or Thurs. Fremont tomorrow, popped into Columbia city ale house for dinner tonight has a good tap select although small.

I always go down to the market early in the morning for breakfast before the place gets crazy. Go eat breakfast at Lowell's and enjoy an amazing view while doing it.
