can only think of the strip mall behind Rotolos and maybe the Rocco's one that aren't completely full. The other 8-10 are full and usually remain that way.

I can give you a list of at least 5 centers that have vacancies. I have been looking at rental prop for about 3 weeks now and quite a few have spots. I believe the one with Rotolos behind it is only about 60% occupied, at best.

Seems to be business suicide setting up shop in that building for some reason.

Only two restaurants have been there.

Mezza Luna was good but diner only (eventually they started serving lunch on Sundays maybe other days as well) which isn't going to work in that neighborhood.

then

Red Stick Bistro which would have failed in any location. It was terrible- used inferior ingrediants and charged a higher price point than Mezza Luna.

Santa Fe Cattle Co. is based in BR now. A group that owns several movie theatres in the state bought the concept. They also own the Hammond location and I think the Mccomb one as well.

The group in BR owns Santa Fe Cattle Co, they aren't franchisees. They bought the whole deal out of bankruptcy. They own movie theaters outside of LA as well.

I knew they bought it out of bankruptcy, but thought it was only the concept. Didn't know they bought the entire chain. thanks

SM has worked his arse off and deserves his success.

I'm sure you can find a vacancy in some of them, hell that is probably true of almost every strip mall or retail center. Saying not a single one is full was over the top.

Fwiw, I think they built too many. I would imagine at 60% they are probably still making bank so filling it up probably is just icing on the cake.

Yeah, forgot his name, but the guy that owned Mezza Luna basically just shut it down an reopened as Red Stick bistro.

Mama Brava

It's probably been 20 years since I've had it, but I remember that being damn good pizza.
