The sign says Opening Sunday at 5pm. I'm assuming they meant yesterday?
I don't know why they decided on that spot since so many other restaurants failed there. But,they certainly seemed to have spent a lot of time and money transforming the building.
Has anyone here ever been to one of these? Is it even worth trying?

I haven't tried it, but I am curious and will try it out soon. Seems to be business suicide setting up shop in that building for some reason.

doesn't surprise me since it's new. Is this another texas/logan's roadhouse, golden corral kinda place?

Basically. Menu has most of the same items as Texas Roadhouse. Prices look pretty good if it's the same for here.

Have eaten at the one in Hammond. Always packed. Typical chain, nothing special. They do give you free peanuts to eat and throw the shells on the floor.

yeah, i'm not a big fan of those types. But, hey, the "high end" places continue to fail in that spot. So, maybe this one has a chance.

it's in the spot that used to be red stick bistro and quite a few other places. On Airline in front of Winn Dixie.

Ate at one in Rome last week. Georgia, not Italy. It's basically a Texas Roadhouse, all the way down to the peanut shells underfoot. This particular one had an extremly talented stable of waitresses and cold beer in big mugs. Which was nice..

Actually that spot has only been Red Stick Bistro and some Italian place and the same person owned both.

I'll probably give it a shot out of curiosity....after the new place hysteria dies down.....assuming it lasts that long.

Friend of mine at work raves about the one in Hammond.

Really? seems like it was that laluna(sp) italian place then another place then the red stick place just within the last year or 2?

Is the whole center a no go for businesses? Do a lot of businesses fail in that center or just that specific restaurant spot?

Not really, I guess it's considered a different shopping center but the strip behind this one has had pretty much the same places open for years.

It seems like Prairieville is one small strip center after the other. Is there any central shopping in Prairieville? It also looks like all the strip centers are fairly new but even not one is full of tenants.

Problem is that bringing a high-end place to P'ville isn't going to work, at least not yet. People in P'ville are willing to drive to BR, or even NO, to get better dining. A lot of P'ville residents would need a "special" night to justify spending what some of the restaurants at that location charged. If that is the case I would have chosen Ruffino's. Little Village, Le Creole or Houmas House and that are the ones (minus Houmas House) that are within 3 minutes of that site.
can only think of the strip mall behind Rotolos and maybe the Rocco's one that aren't completely full. The other 8-10 are full and usually remain that way.
