Rum House on Magazine - my first visit

Sorry if this has been discussed Ad Nauseam; the search function isn't working properly.
After a length of time of wanting to try Rum House, we finally hit it up this past Friday. I should've posted here first to get the best recs, because it was a big hit or miss for us. The hits were out the park though.
We started with the Damn Good Nachos, and they lived up to their name. That queso on it was dynamite. I would go back just for this and a shite ton of drinks. We also got the salsa, which was pretty good but not worth the cost.
For the main course we had the Crab Melt and a mix of tacos. The crab melt was a bit of a letdown. It was decent enough, but the sound of it (fried green tomato and crab meat??? yes please) sold it more than the taste did. As for the tacos, we tried the scallops, chili shrimp, flaked fish, lamb and flank steak. The fish was terrible. It tasted like a catfish laid out on the dock for five days in August heat, and it was "Mahi Mahi." The scallops were good but nothing great.
The real winners were the flank steak and lamb. The chili shrimp were good, but that's because it was loaded with red pepper relish, which was also the problem. It was too much and was all I could taste. I would get again, but I'd request half the amount. The lamb had a great taste with the right amount of spice. That flank steak though? Money!
Next time I go, and there will be a next time, I am getting the nachos and flank tacos.
What are some of your thoughts? Had similar experience with these, or could it have been an off day (fish?). What are some of the items I missed out on that measure up to the hype?

This is exactly what I do everytime I go. Its a great place, just not a huge fan of their food other than the nachos

nachos are where its at.
a few tacos are really good (i normally snag the lamb)
sounds like a pretty representative experience and good advice.

Sounds like the winners were the ones I named. I foresee drinks, nachos and a calypso or lamb in my future.... but that's about it.

Gonna have to check out these nachos next time I go.
