We are big fans of the Iron Cactus. The space needle has a revolving restaurant that is pretty cool, but expensive. Boudro's on the Riverwalk is also really good, but kinda pricey.

If your kids are young, they will enjoy Rainforest Cafe.

Based on a rec from a previous thread, we went to Iron Cactus. It was packed but very good.

Been to several of those. Never been to SA and would like to try something different.

I second this one. I would say get a table inside though. Damn birds are everywhere!

Riverwalk area tends to lack of good local restaurants that don’t completely cater to the tourism.
However, the spicy fried shrimp appetizer and lobster garlic noodles at Yard House are pretty darn good, and there’s a large draft beer selection.
Definitely a kid friendly place.

Dough Pizzera up 410 way is diners drive-ins and dives favorite place for pizza and Italian, Paloma blanca for Mexican food is very good, Boudro's is good, Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is very very good and Down on Greyson is a fabulous place for good food and LandRace is also very Good. Enjoy SA it's the best big city in US!

If on a M-F, walk over to the Menger Hotel (next to the Alamo) and do the lunch buffet. It’s pretty small but the food they do have is incredible!

it's not quite on the RW, but Rosarios is good.

San Antonio is the 7th largest US city. Always takes you by surprise.

It would be embarrassing for you to drive all the way to SA to go eat at Rainforest fricking Cafe. Jfc, I can't remember a worse recommendation.
