Does anyone have any info on this place? A patio dining area is going up on Benton Road in the location of Tito's Mexican. That location seems to be bad luck for restaurants. Was wondering if anyone knew what kind of food they will be serving.

TIA

If I had to guess, I would say the standard "grille" food for the area

burgers
low grade steaks
etc

Sadly, you are probably right. Always best to keep expectations low and perhaps we might be pleasantly surprised. At least we can now get decent Indian across the street.

I just saw that my cousin mentioned this place on her Facebook page. She liked their Margaritas and her group got 3 different appetizers: mini meat pies, fried pickles and some sort of chicken roll up.

She said it was all good.

After looking over their menu (fried cheese, chicken wraps, etc.), I think Salmon pretty much nailed it.

That location is a place restaurants go to die. Although Gator's had a good run at it. Godspeed.

Oh yeah, now I know where he's talking. It used to be a Chinese place. Really bad location unless your food is so great that people learn to find you ... like L'Italiano.

Well I am pleased to see that River City Grille has made TigerDroppings. I am the owner of River City Grille and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our restaurant. I assure you that we have worked VERY hard to ensure that we have improved against all of the previous establishments who have occupied this space (and failed or whose time eventually expired). While we do offer the typical "grille" fare, we certainly offer MUCH more. Our burgers, steaks, seafood and chops are fresh (not frozen) and hand cut each day. You can fine our menu on our Facebook page as well. We want to provide a casual, comfortable atmosphere with great food and great service whether you want a soup or salad, a burger or wrap, or a steak or seafood. I would imagine that we would be visited from time to time by motorcycle enthusiasts, but would doubt seriously that we would fit the mold of a "biker bar". I invite you to stop in and give us a try, but ask that you give us a fair shot without preconceived notions based on who was here before us.

It's decent food at this time. Although the river ranch potatoes are great. Give it time and it will get better.

But I agree about being careful about posting as the owner. It could get real nasty on here for you.

Question... when do you open? Most places open at 11 a.m. My schedule runs me back from Bossier City to Benton at 10:30 so I'm always looking for places that open at 10:30 for take out. That's a small niche. So far I've found Podnuh's BBQ and McAllisters.
