Feed me Mr. Tony. The lakeview legend died today at age 88. He was one of a kind. I have been going there for 40 years. I used to go more often years ago when I didn't think twice about putting away one of those "feed me" dinners, but he will be greatly missed.

He and my grandfather were friends. I got to go in the kitchen a lot as a kid.
Really sweet guy, and Feed Me will always be a part of the experience.

Never got back there post K, but the Feed Me was good and fun. Too many food, but I picked my favorites. It was such an occasion to do it.

Sympathies to his family and friends.

His restaurant will continue on as it always has. The business side has been run by his daughter for some time now and that will continue. The restaurant day to day operation will be run by long time management employees.

I used to go there quite a bit in the late 80's as my mom's boyfriend was a long time friend of Mr. Tony.

The first time I ate there and met Tony, he caught me off guard and kissed me. I was definitely weirded out at the time.

The last time I ate there was just a few weeks before Katrina. The feed me was as good as always.

My friend Anthony DiPiazza emulated Tony's feed me style at his restaurant on Dauphine St.

I would love to know how much money I spent at DiPiazza's from 1988-1990. Always an incredible meal. Anthony spent way too little time in this world and is missed by many. RIP.
