Was that one of Grady’s restaurants?

They were doing renovations. A contractor that was installing floors caught the place on fire.

I don’t think Grady has Alumni. Just Peppers and Grady V’s

The Alumni Grill is owned by the same people as Spahr's in Des Allemands and Cut Off.

So the sparhs in thibodaux is different than the other 2?

I didn't know Spahrs owned Alumni Grill. I'm good friends w/ the original owner of Spahr's grandson. Also didn't know Grady still owned Peppers. I could've sworn he sold it in the early-2000s?

Owner Minh Le watched helplessly Sunday as fire crews extinguished lingering hot spots in the restaurant he opened in 2015.
I believe the alumni grill owner previously worked at Spahrs but obviously not the owner.

We passed by it minutes before it went up. Hate to see it happen to any local business. Ate there twice since it opened and didn't really care for it but they appeared to be doing fairly well judging by cars in the parking lot.

Horrible news. Owners are good people. They’ll rebuild just not sure how long it’ll take. Seemed like they were just getting in a groove post Ida/Covid. A solid place that has never disappointed.
