How many fricking ways are there to cook a steak? What's wrong with hot coals, S&P and a little know how?? This never ending string of threads is getting old.

Well... for one, most people think you cannot cook a steak from frozen. ATK says you can. Second, someone recently asked about reheating steaks, and one of those links shows that.

I thought some would enjoy this since ... you know ... it is a food board.

I just posted about reheating a steak using the low oven like the reverse sear. I didn't re-sear it, though. Mine was seared well, so I didn't bother.

Yes, salt and pepper only, sear on grill, place under running lukewarm tap water for 11 hours

Think he's an "Omaha" brand guy. Speaking of which, Ive had a steak or two from them "traditional sear cooked" and they weren't half bad.

I'm just gonna start eating my steaks raw. It's probably easier.

Knock it's horns off, wipe it's nasty old arse, and plop it down on my plate

All for one of the least versatile cuts of meat available.

Steak is easy. Salt and pepper. High heat. Don't overcook.

If we were talking getting the best flavor and texture out of pork ribs, I'd understand.

Leftover cold med-rare steak is the shite. Why would you ever even think of reheating it?
