Restaurant IPO on Bar Rescue?

Walked by there this morning, they look like they're setting up to film something inside. Outside there are a few parking spots reserved with a sign saying "This film has been permitted by the City of Baton Rouge - Bar Rescue/Bongo LLC"
Are they going to have to rehire staff to just fake a stress test, as they already closed a month ago?

Yeah I saw that last night walking by. I didn't know what the Hell they were doing. Definitely looks like a production.

I went several times and each it was just kind of meh. Never really seemed like it had any kind of direction and the food was mediocre. Hope something better comes around. I'm getting bored with a lot of these places and the somewhat same menu.

They definitely weren't doing that great, but I didn't think they were dramatic or truly dysfunctional enough for Bar Rescue.
They're either really going to have to inject some plot lines, or maybe Bar Rescue is going to try to go back to its original concept of applying bar science to help some struggling concept out.

That show is fake as is the restaurant one. They filmed at R&O's a couple years back, and the waitress there told us they brought in all actors to play the roles of the staff. Only one person who worked there actually got to be on the show, and that was only due to one of the actors not showing up.

Seems like they should be on a restaurant show rather than Bar Rescue. Bar Rescue only does bar food that I've seen. IPO had a relatively creative menu at the beginning that just needed to be executed better and to change as the chefs/seasons changed.

Great location....but it just never seemed to work as a bar or resturant...the name was kinda lame...a good local restaurant would do well there....food just needs to be much better than it was....

wouldnt IPO be considered a local restaurant? or do you mean something that is already established?
Bar Rescue there is odd because IPO wasnt a bar and that upstairs area hasnt been open in awhile as a stand alone bar. The upstairs area is a very nice space and they tried to make it into a club. What a waste

They are filming now at a bar in Kenner called "Speakeasy"
it was the bar that hosted the memorial for the Cane's employee who was killed. Never been. Always had a phobia about going to bars in a city with that many police.

Doesn't Bar Rescue normally revamp the place, including the name? Maybe they bought into that.

Look up the show online, not on the tv channels website, and you will quickly see that the whole thing is "scripted reality" which is TV speak for fake as hell.
But it is an entertaining Saturday afternoon watch when football isn't on and you are able to suspend disbelief.
