Louisiana is truly a great, unique food state. Recipes and types of food differ from city/town to region. How would you rank the top 10 towns or cities in Louisiana?

Better specify if you are talking about restaurant quality or home cooking quality.
Some of these folks get serious with this debate

Obviously new Orleans has the best restaurants, but the best food is in Cajun country. Either way BR is at the bottom.

I'd like to do both. Look, I mean, New Orleans is a given #1. But the rest, from home cooking and restaurants...what's the best "overall" food towns? From my understanding, certain styles of food differ from region...certain regions cook only a particular thing...just what do you think are the top 10?

Louisiana has got 7 "main" cities:

New Orleans
Baton Rouge
Lafayette
Shreveport
Alexandria
Lake Charles
Monroe

But, I'm guessing Louisiana also has other good food towns...Thibadaux, Houma, Natchitoches, Eunice, Gramercy, Ruston, Mamou, etc....

I think it's reasonable to muster up a top 10.

Yup. Arguing 2-10 is pointless.

Not sure if they are big enough to count, but Covington and Mandeville have a pretty good dining scene. Either one could be #4 or 5

It's safe to lump the whole of Terrebonne and lafourche parishes into one "town." Probably the most seafood-heavy cooking in the state.

Alexandria can't handle Chicken Alfredo with Bowtie Pasta.
