You should tell your friend that she is an idiot. She probably also recommends whole grain cereal as being healthy. Our nutrition education in this country is horrible.

Salt has little effect on blood pressure unless you have a serious health problem or extreme sensitivity to it. Your blood pressure issues probably have more to do with being overweight.

I do something similar most weeks. Either chipotle chicken bowls with quinoa instead of rice or chicken shawarma bowls with quinoa. But I prefer quinoa anyways

I'll pass along your expertise.
I said I would give the diet a shot and I will.
I need to cut sodium intake. I'm not that overweight for my size. It's not fat fricking up my heart. It's an enlarged heart.

No need to be snippy. I've had a long relationship with prevailing nutritionist views. You friend sounds like she's towing the party line right out of the 1980s. Very cutting edge. A fun experiment would be for you to monitor your blood sugar levels on her diet. May as well write out the prescription for the Type 2 Diabetes meds now.

I accounted for that by mentioning "serious health problems", but if I had a penny for every person who isn't "overweight for their size", I'd be a billionaire.

Snippy? I ask for recipes and you spend two posts being a straight up a-hole. Lol

Look. I'm trying something. I'm curious if it makes any changes.
Trust me when I say weight isn't the only factor. But again message board randoms know it all.

And yes I would prefer the carnivore diet. I'm not giving up meat for life. I'm just trying a more plant and chicken fish based diet.
