Maintenance is the where the rubber meets the road.
LE, we have all declared and battled over the right way. I have abandoned several methods.

Three-plus years in a range of +/-12 lbs has taught me that self-control, regardless of the plan, is the key.

I hope Myth, CAD and others come back to contribute and not just lurk/reek.

what's changed?

Mostly just that I feel better when I work out when I eat carbs. I stick to brown rice, oatmeal, potatoes, Fruits mostly. But I notice a big difference in the gym when I am going low carb. And if I feel bad during a workout, I don't feel good afterwards either.

Time and experience changes minds. I still don't think eating 300g/day is good for the average person, but, in moderation, carbs are fine.

Another big shift in attitude is that I now understand that there is no "right" way. Everyone's journey is their own. I'm not going to say any one way is best for anyone but myself.

True.

Unfortunately my maintenance has not been intentional. Even when I'm being very faithful to my eating and exercise I am not losing weight lately. I haven't lost any weight in at least a year, although I did lose some inches. Anyway, persistence and perseverance will pay off.

Spent the last 10 days staying with my pops because mom hD to go out of town. Workouts remained good but the diet suffered. I agree Hulkk it doesn't take many carbs to balloon you up when your low carbing. I've read several places that with Adkins you have one golden shot at eating low carbs to lose the weight, after that if you put weight back on it doesn't work as well. I find it's hard for me to lose unless I throw in a few fasting days.

I have been considering throwing in a fast day once a week, but I feel like that sort of starving yourself should not be necessary to lose weight.

Plus you are lifting so you need a little something.

You should try crossfit. You can get your lifting fix and move a little more to accelerate that weight loss. I know it can be expensive but I think you'd like results.

holding steady right around 190 the past couple weeks. going to cut carbs (including beer) during the weekdays and start doing more than just long-interval runs to try and shed 10+ lbs over the next month or so.

I told you brah, come do Power Burn at the fiancée studio. I probably burned 800 calories from today's workout.

Aim for the weight where you have a six pack. It will be a lot lower than you think.

I have a 6-pack at 185 and when I'm not working out & eating bad I was 190.

Just curious, what does each bar represent? 1lb? 5lb?

I'm not against trying crossfit morally or anything, but financially it just doesn't work for me.
