And here comes the over saturation of shitty breweries. I like the competition but many of these new ones are terrible. I had a wayward owl IPA today and I drank it just not to be rude to the bartender. If I was home I would've poured it down the drain.

I approve of the wayward owl drain pour.

I've never had anyone piss in my mouth but I'd assume that's what it tastes like. How the frick is that even classified as an IPA?

I work really close to this place, I don't see how it's going to be a taproom, you should see the equipment they've hauled into this small building they're renting. I'll be surprised if they can fit ten people in there when it's done.

I feel like the recently closed Friends in Madisonville would be an awesome brewery location besides the parking

What happened to the one that was being protested?

Unfortunately, he caved. I hope he actually gets another place since I heard such good things about his homebrew.

I live a couple minutes away from Wayward Owl and was pumped when it opened so went over to check it out during their soft opening.

I had the Proto version of their IPA and it was so bad I have zero desire to waste money on the Clean Slate IPA. It really does seem that we are about to hit a glut in NOLA with all the breweries opening.

I guess only the strong will survive.

Lots of other cities the same size of Nola have twice as many breweries. Hopefully only the strong survive long term, but there are a lot of shitty breweries still making money.

I'm not sure if my sarcasm meter is working?

Andy was Low Road Brewery talking to Joe, and he was introduced as the owner/brewer of Louisiana Purchase.

LINK

I'm fortunate enough to get to travel the state, and I can honestly say Low Road is legit, and I've to almost every brewery in the state.

Asheville is about half the population of Baton Rouge or New Orleans and is filled with a number of terrific breweries. Of course it helps that it isn't a shithole like BR and NO are.

I'm just glad they took down that stupid Seattle Seahawks flag they had hanging in the brewery. A Louisiana native that wants to fly that flag should have just kept his butt in Washington.
