Is anything good there? Frozen crawfish pies, for example?

I've had some of the seafood boudin and crawfish pies.

For what they charge, I'd make a crawfish pie and not feel like I'm getting stiffed on the crawfish.

We get tailgate food from there. The fried catfish is great. Also, their boudin ball tray with regular, crawfish, and seafood boudin balls is pretty good too.

Some family brought the crawfish pies for Christmas once. I remember that they were good but not something that you couldn't do yourself given the proper time and ingredients.

I make my own mini pies quite often. Haven't had any that I like as much as mine, but I thought about trying theirs. Probably won't, though.

Anything else frozen worth getting?

I keep a couple of bags of the boudin balls in my freezer and use them when people pop in or we are frying fish. Not bad. Drop in the hot oil frozen and three minutes later hot appetizers.

I also buy cleaned crawfish heads which are in the freezer for bisque if I'm feeling lazy. Plus they are cheap.

The deli is good for some soul and fried food. I also have bought boiled shrimp to bring to parties and for a dollar a pound they will peel them-which is a deal. Ask for David or Mary.

Thanks. The cleaned heads are certainly a find. I'm not going, but a friend is going there tomorrow before coming to my house and offered to bring some goods. Are the boudin balls meat or seafood or both?

They have 3 kinds:
Cajun (meat)
crawfish
shrimp & crab

Our favorites are the Cajun and the shrimp & crab ones.

Their crab meat augratin is pretty solid. They have it on the deli line from time to time, but always have it in the freezer.
