Hey all,

Was living in Philadelphia for last 7 years in missed my boudin so started making my own. Im now back in LA living in metairie and would like to continue my craft.

Im having a hell of a time finding fresh pork liver. Anyone got an idea where i might find some? I'd take frozen if cant find fresh. Any help be appreciated.

check Rouses as they sell it in the Lafayette stores

or call your local meat market, butcher shop, Chisesi's Pride, etc....

we were looking for it too. believe you have to go to cajun country for it. we just use chicken livers out of necessity.

Have you tried Rouses? I know you can get it there frozen. Speak with the butcher, he an order it for you if they dont have it.

Thanks for the info on Rouses guys. I'll double check with the butcher next time I go.

Does it bother you if it's frozen?

That might be tough getting it fresh.

The title may be too short.

Someone (I don't know why) may have RA'ed it.

Maybe for religious reasons? Can't believe if that winds up being the case.
