Guessing this thread didn't go as planned for you

You really have no place to bitch with your approach to the restaurant.

The way you described it would be like if I went to a five-star steakhouse, ordered chicken fingers and said they tasted like shite

Go somewhere more 'private' imo

Well, it isn't like we are going full romantic. Combining house hunting and anniversary at the end of the week. I wanted Butcher and mentioned Peche.

Probably going to hit a bang-bang thursday afternoon/night.

I say full blown private. Just remember to wear your bib and diaper so the waiter knows what flavor of baby food to bring you

Gotcha, going to call Besh to see about serving a private dinner to us at our Holiday Inn Express semi-private suite.

I absolutely hate that type of seating as well because I hear everyone's conversation and they can hear everything you talk about. It makes things very awkward if you don't want to talk to anyone next to you. However there are many New Orleans restaurants with seating like this and it is extremely common at great restaurants all over the world so I try to deal with it.

Keep your chin up, I got it bad for posting my perfectly 'cooked' burger thread. And it was actually perfectly cooked.

Personally, Id roll into Peche for lunch or mid afternoon. Went last Thursday for lunch, menu is the same, its a little bit less crowded, and we had a nice, leisurely lunch. Happy Anniversary

Perfect time to go. I've done it 2 or 3 times and have had no problem.

Thanks for the heads up, looking for a couple places to hit. Might move Peche to mid day and try Domenica that night.

Yeah, now I'm wondering if I should change my reservation.

Our plan was to spend all day at the pool and eat lunch out at the pool and dinner at Peche though. So mid day means less pool time.

I might just suck it up and deal with the noise. We'll be a bottle or two of champagne in by that time of day anyway.

Plus you are loud, so probably best for the other restaurants.
