What's the ABV of the beer? $24 is just about the highest price point of any 4pk on the market (Monkisk may tip into $25-26). Can't say I blame them for trying to go there but at the same time it sucks. Other Half almost never gets this high for any of their beers/collabs.

Half Acre charges $24/4 all the time and everyone bitches and moans here in CHI and they aren't even brewing haze

Think it is killing the roots of what kicked off the craft beer explosion. Incredibly hard to find a good example of a different style beer right now.

Everyone in this thread will spend $5, $6, $7+ for a beer at the bar but thinks it's outrageous that a limited release beer sells for that much

You realize those aren't the same beers right? $5 for a light beer maybe, but a $6 beer at the store is going to by like $12+ at a bar. Who is happy paying $12/ beer?

You pay higher prices at a bar for a couple of reasons:
1.) Random pussy you don't know doesn't come over to your house for beers
2.) Better tvs and games
3.) Anything not your own costs money to use

My main issue with craft beers being expensive is that pushes all beers to cost more. My routine now is basically to buy whatever is on sale at the grocery store. Maybe once a month I'll go splurge and buy something I am craving or haven't tried at a good beer place.

Parish makes damn good beer. But after the first IPA, I'm not sure one IPA is worth more money than any others.

At least Eureka Heights is putting out delicious, fresh cans of West Coast on the regular in the Houston markets. $10.49 for a six pack of cans.

But yeah, while I enjoy certain hazy/NEIPAs, it’s almost as if that’s the only style being put out semi-fresh these days. Variety is good. Not haze bro stuff all the time.

Most good, special release beers are going to be $20+ for a 4-pack.

That's why I prefer getting my beer from places like Craft Beer Cellars, that have a bunch of great selections and sell by the can. Allows me to get single cans of stuff that I'm interested in trying but not willing to spend $20+ on a 4-pack of something I don't know I like. A lot of breweries are doing single cans too.

But I do agree that beer prices are getting out of control. I'm a bit embarrassed to say that the other week I spent $32 on one bottle of beer.

Eureka Heights makes good beer but has one of the best breweries to hangout in that I’ve been to

One thing I will say about Parish is that I wish there tap room wasn’t so sterile

$13 for a 4 pk of 16oz cans of Business Time, and its GD delicious. Just a plain Galaxy IPA at 6.8%. I'm an old frick that doesn't go to the bar, and would not pay $24 for a 4 pack of anything less than a 14% abv. I love Parish's offerings, but think that is crazy.

$35 for a 750mL isn't terrible. Comparable to a nice bottle of wine. The ABV is usually similar too.

I just kinda think it's crazy that a bottle of beer costs more than the bourbon from the barrel it was aged in. I love my barrel aged beers, but I have my limits... and that is def over it.

Yeah it is a 750ml. Don't get me wrong, no ragrets. It's something they release once a year and IMO easily the best beer they produce, and it's meant to age so it'll stay in my fridge for a while.

Yep. Go to Parish to buy beer and take home to enjoy.

Go to Bayou Teche to drink beer on location and enjoy.

You baws that don't want to pay $24 for a 4 pack can probably still pick up a heavily discounted Operation Juice Drop.
