How about that old method we used to use called, "drink it and decide for yourself if you like it?"

It's better to wait and see if the beers trendy and cool here first before saying you like it.

That's definitely the best way to avoid a Wrought Iron >> Ghost situation.

I think it could go 2 ways. You go out of your way to try a beer you know nothing about and are blown away by it. On the other side, you get hyped up because of a bunch of positive reviews and go out of your way just to be disappointed.

As far as a maple flavored beer, I would like a basis of opinion before heading to Parish to try it but I will definitely try it no matter what on GRD (I'll already be there).

I try not to hype myself, I find it clouds my judgement. I re-direct my hype to the act of beer drinking.

Well that won't work. What if I don't like it, then discover I was supposed to like it?

Or worse, I like it a lot, rate if high, then get ridiculed for liking a beer that mavens think is average at best??

Well that was just unnecessary.... I do believe I will drink but I still like to see what others say, especially those who I find have similar taste as myself.
Unfortunately I won't be able to try it until GR Day so I live through others.
