Is this really worth the hype?

Whats the most you would pay for a bottle?

Big thread on it last week. Just search "hoarder" and it should show up.

At retail ($250-$350)? Yes, worth it.

Aftermarket prices($1200-$2000).. Not so much

I can get a bottle for 450. I really dont even know if I would even open it. Maybe a good investment for later.

Yeah that's really not a bad price. I'd buy and trade for a pair of 20's which is my personal favorite.

20 is better imo.

The rye might be the best of the whole lot though

Philippe's still has that one bottle of Pappy 23.

There were no takers at the advertised price of 2,799.99.

So now the price is 2,999.99

The laws of supply and demand have been thrown out the window.

To add to this discussion. I was at the Sazerac Bar this weekend, and they had all of the Pappy's on display, and the 23 year was $250/glass. F that noise!!

Exactly....all I could say is, are you kidding? I get a beer at the Dome is $9, and hotel bars are more expensive compared to most places, and all that crap, but $250, gimme a break.

I've seen it go for $90ish but never that much. Hell, we paid $75 for a pour of 15,20, & 23 at avenue pub.
