I don't think this was on the list from the other day. They had a great happy hour which included old fashioneds.

Wife and I would enjoy going in there, for us they will be missed.

When these places close are they losing their arse or just see the writing on the wall and bail before it gets to that point?

Yeah I know Perm but we always enjoyed going in there. They had some cool stuff, even did this bacon popcorn that was killa.

that place sucked. Good riddance.

As for Oxalis, I think they had the same issue as Mat and Naddie's. Made money but not enough. They are converting to event space and catering which is substantially more profitable than full time dining.

Are you sure they closed completely? I heard they just axed brunch (which is a precursor of things to come I suppose). I wouldn't be surprised though. It's truly a terrible location. It was frankly depressing to see them try and recreate the Frenchmen atmosphere in the shell of a crappy old Tulane bar. Hopefully someone just bulldozes it and puts it out of its misery. The new Chais Delachaise down the street seems to be killing it, however.

Yup. 31st was the last day of service, just like a bunch of other places.

They all knew they wouldn't get past the summer down time.

That's unfortunate. It was one of my favorite bars in the city.

At that location? I can't see that drawing a steady income of any sort under that model. I wish them the best, I guess, though.

I liked Oxalis. Never really had anything "bad" there.

Now Cafe Henri across the street is fricking awful. Booty's was better than that shite
