I will be heading to Vegas next week and I would like to try a few off strip places. Anyone have any recommendations?

My favorite place in Vegas is Ellis Island Casino. They have great food at old Vegas (CHEAP) prices. They have an $8.99 steak special that is awesome, as well as a bbq combo special that is great too. Their breakfasts are awesome as well. Check out their website and their reviews and you'll see what I mean.

There's some thai place that LL swears is awesome. I have been off the strip but that was to make a liquor store run and to hit In-N-Out burger.

Ah, the Stage Door. I just go to the CVS or ABC Store and stock up now days. You still have time to book the trip!

The Thai place is Lotus of Siam. Supposedly some of the best Thai in the entire U.S. It's on my list of go-to spots on my next trip to Vegas.

I went to Thai Pepper a few blocks from there, and it was awful. When I was done eating I walked down the street, saw Lotus of Siam and made a note to check it out later. But I got sick and never made it back.

Where is Lotus of Siam?

I went to a thai place in the Bellagio I think. Can't remember exactly.

Kabuto

If you're at all intrigued by Jiro Dreams of Sushi, you'll groove on this place.

Good luck getting in though. If it's next week, you might be able to secure a 6pm reservation.

Monta Ramen, which shares the same parking lot, has one of the best Ramen house experiences in the States.

Lotus of Siam is at 953 E. Sahara in a little strip mall. It's not far from the strip and it's easy to find. Some say it's the best Thai restaurant in the entire country.

Thanks for the Kabuto rec... I really enjoyed Jiro Dreams of Sushi. I'll add this place to my to-go-to list.

Bachi Burger

It's really good, but be aware that it's not right off the strip. It's a good 15min cab ride from the strip.
