I will be making my second trip to New Orleans this coming weekend, and need ideas for a solid place to eat on Saturday. Looking for a mid to upper level place that represents the regional cuisine. Any honest suggestions are appreciated.

Are at Desi Vegas today for the first time and enjoyed it. Check out Clancy's or Herbsaint or R'evoloution or.... God I wish i could afford to just eat my way through this city for a couple years.

Eta I didn't even read the thread before replying but seems like we were reading each other's minds

Peche is my favorite. Make reservations now to get a good time because there will be a big convention in town next week.

Domenica, Coquette, Boucherie, and the Franklin are all solid options in different parts of the city.

Cant' disagree with any suggestions so far, except to say that August + Revolution are not "mid-level" as far as price is concerned. Coquette, Herbsaint and Peche are all fantastic restaurants. Also consider Boucherie or Atchafalaya.

All good suggestions in this thread. Gautreau's is definitely in the upper tier, especially price wise. Very expensive restaurant imo (but also spectacular).

It really depends on what you want, where you want to be, and now much you really want to spend.
