NOLA banquet room recommendations

looking for a diner banquet room in November for a group of about 30 …. any recommendations ?

You might want to let the board know your price expectations. Lots of people who aren't used to doing this kind of stuff in the city get kind of blown away to learn the pricing, etc.
There are a lot of places out there for this, but the pricing can be all over the place.

Upstairs and Muriels I've heard is good setting.

You can rent a banquet room for around $200 and they have a few different menus to choose from depending on your budget.

For that price range I would give up on the idea of a sit down meal.

Maybe call Lucy's or Ernst Cafe about renting their upstairs rooms for this event. They might require a certain minimum spend or some kind, but I would think the food could be worked out.
