Headed to Dallas next week for business. I got reservations at Nick and Sam's so I'm looking for some recommendations. TIA

I found it to be stuffy and pretentious and really didn't care for the food the one time I went. Could have been an off night, however while in Dallas, I enjoy steaks from Del Frisco's, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, Capital Grille, Perry's and Bob's.

i assume you are going to the steakhouse and not Nick and Sams Grill

Food is fine there but there is much......much better food to be had in that area.

Well, ima steakhouse lover and go to Dallas pretty often on business, thus gave been to N&S several times... And its always solid, IMO. They are popular for what they do and who they serve.... Take it for what its worth if that is what you/your dining partners are looking for....

To say the food isnt good is inaccurate. To prefer a different environment and be "put off" because it wasnt what you were looking for - is different.

Good steakhouse.

Agreed. To add: The bill can really get away from you and there are certainly equal or better places in Dallas.

You'll enjoy your first time experience. You really can't go wrong, but if you're feeling like spending some $$$ try one of the rarer cuts you can't get in a typical steakhouse. I had the 16oz bone in filet last time and it was incredible.
