This thread will be a disappointment to some since we didn’t go to any fine dining places. Haha!

Day 1
Sushi Star-great food. Had the sushi/sashimi for 2. Lots of food for the price. 9th Avenue between 35th and 36th Sushi Star

Day 2
Breakfast-Juniors on 49th and Broadway. local Brooklyn based chain. Decent breakfast; huge portions. Great coffee. Good service.

Dinner-Stout for the Super Bowl. 33rd street near Penn Station. Cool 3 story bar. Had basic Super Bowl food plus raw oysters. Good drinks. Not overpriced. Fun local experience.

Day 3
Breakfast at hotel

Dinner-Zoob Zib Thai. Right next door to Sushi Star. Excellent Tom Ka Gai and Panang Curry. Zion Zib

Day 4
Breakfast at hotel

Lunch-Katz Deli. Houston Street (Bowery or East Village?) it’s Been there since 1800’s. Huge Reuben and a hot dog. Great food and experience. I’ve had better Reubens though to be honest.

Dinner-got a slice of Pizza at NY Pizza Suprema 33rd and 8th. Recommended by Zappa. (Also Rachel Ray and Curtis Stone). Fun experience and good pizza. I will say that there are 2 place here in little ol’ Canton Georgia I think are better.

Did you hit up Sbarro? My favorite New York Pizza joint.

No but I did tell my wife we needed to go because it was Michael’s favorite. Ha!

I should have done a fake one talking about Sbarro, Panda Express and KFC.

I forgot that my wife did grab a burrito from Taco Bell Cantina on 8th Avenue. We were at 23,000 steps for the day. It was 330 and she wasn’t going to survive until dinner.

Katz is something everyone should do once. It is great food, but very expensive for what it is. Awesome experience though.

Yep. They have a sign over the table where they sat. Corny but fun.

The pastrami sandwich at Katz's Deli was one of the most memorable food items I've had. Outstanding.

I made the “mistake” of getting corned beef instead of pastrami in the Reuben

The place was so fast moving with everyone knowing what to do that I didn’t have time to think.

Unless you’ve been there it’s hard to describe their process. Haha!

$26 for a sandwich is pretty wild.

$26 for a grouper sandwich on the coast is also pretty wild.

I thought so too but it was huge!

And the hot dog was only $5 and it was good.

We went to Sushi Star. Not sure it was “killer” but it has good reviews and we liked it.

I went during thanksgiving week and the best meal we had by far was at the restoration hardware restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely return.
