Spending the weekend in New Orleans. Where are some good places to go eat in the downtown/french quarter area?

Good luck. There are two huge conventions in town and all of the good places are probably booked in the FQ, CBD and WH District. Take a cab uptown and I can recommend the following places.
Coquette
Vizard's
Lilette
Le Petit Grocery
Bistro Daisy
Jamila's
Boucherie
Martinique
Clancy's
Restuarant One
Upperline
Dick and Jennie's
Maple Street Cafe
Vincent's
Le Crepe Nanou
Gautreau's
La Cote Sud
Dante's Kitchen

I will pick pricey....
Best steak I ever had was the first EXPENSIVE steak I ever had. Dickie Brennans. Not the old Brennans on royal.(Which was cool for the history of the building but food was not as good).
