My family and some friends are going to New Orleans along with three children, ages 1-8, this weekend. Do you guys have any recommendations for a place or places to eat that the adults will be able to enjoy, but that are also kid friendly? We will mostly be in the uptown/gd areas. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't understand the question

Most restaurants are kid friendly as long as the kids know how to behave

Are you looking for good places that also serve chicken nuggets and pizza rolls on a kids menu?

yes - looking for places that have reputations as good restaurants, that the adults will probably enjoy, but that i can take 3 kids into as well. If there is such an animal.

Are the kids well behaved?
Are the adventurous eaters?

My kids are older now (10,12) but I never hesitated to bring them anywhere when they were you. They aren't chicken nugget and pizza only type kids though.

This board...

I know what you're looking for but I'm not local so I can't be much help.

I do know American Sector at WW 2 museum is a good option with kids.

Assuming you meant nicer restaurants, Commander's Palace has been great to my kids. Domenica as well.

Cochon and Peche are both loud environments, would not be a problem at either with kids. My kids love District donuts and really like Parkway Bakery (obviously not close to where you are staying).

First, consider the poboy festival on Sunday. Recommend going early. If you get there after like 1130 you'll probably regret it.

Adding to suggestions already made:
Pizza Domenica
Superior Seafood

Joey Ks
Rum House
New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood (counter order place)

As long as they are not obnoxious little turds, you should be fine just about anywhere. Commanders is very friendly towards kids. My kid accidentially spilled a big bottle of water all over the table at delmonicos and the staff was very understanding. Emerils is good for kids as its already loud and kids can spilt the fried chicken.

Places to avoid would be geautreus and August. Both are great spots, but a kid having a kid moment would be more noticeable there.
