For flooding victims.

Think it might happen?

New Orleans has been pretty quiet so far. Most are just in shock, I think.

When has this happened? Everybody's flooded but New Orleans.

Hell may be frozen too.

Maybe it's just the people I come in contact with but it seems a lot of people are raising money, food, and are up there with boats. From my neighborhood taco truck up there serving free food to the Bowfishing guides up there with airboats boats. I'm pround of the way Louisiana has responded to helping out their own.

A group of chefs went to Gonzales yesterday to cook for evacuees, and there are tons of places accepting donations to deliver to the area, from Second Harvest Food Bank to the OPSO and many local businesses. All of this has been publicized via social media and conventional media. So I wouldn't say Nola has been quiet.

Agree that things are definitely being done. For example, Gracious Bakery is donating proceeds to Second Harvesters on all purchases made today: LINK

And here's another fundraising/feeding effort helmed by Amy Cyrex Sins: LINK
