Pretty sure a smoker is to be used kind of like a crock pot is used for red beans and rice.
Or a pressure cooker.
Slow cooked meat is what I'm looking for.

i have a weber smokey mountain and like it a lot
did 2 boston butts on it yesterday. put some chicken below it and let the pork fat baste the bird

Yes. It's actually very good as a grill and you can get it to really high temps

Get the Weber Smokey Mountain. Best smoker for under $500 there is.
