Went to the festival this weekend and picked up a dozen pies. Whats a good dipping sauce for these. And also whats the best way to cook them. TIA

I never eat with sauce. Dilutes the meat seasoning taste to me. I fry mine.

Heinz Ketchup, French's Mustard, or nothing. Fried is better than baked but I will eat em either way.

did u get them at Laysones or from Russell Sission and his trailer on the riverfront?

I fry the ones from Lasyone's but there are some made to be baked. Depends on what you bought. I've never used a sauce on either. In my experience, they don't need one

I bake them and then add hot sauce. Srirachi.

Typical American has to ruin everything with a fricking dipping sauce.
Eat them plain or at the most add a dash of hot sauce.

the French put Mayonaise on french fries, Scandinavians make pudding out of sheeps blood, Phillipinos eat fertilized chicken eggs, morroccans eat with their right hand on a communal plate, Americans put Ketchup on meat pies
how typical is it sounding now?

I got them at a gas station on La119. I ate Laysones at the festival and they were great. Also I was just asking about the sauce not mandatory.

didn't say there weren't exceptions. of course other cultures have sauces as well. but only in America is it so ubiquitous. and the reason why is because our palates are so used to the bullshite stuff that chain restaurants and fast food joints try to pass off as "real food" that we constantly need some kind of condiment to cover up the sewage.

Pepto Bismal is a great dipping sauce with these, with a side of zantac or tums
